          Bali is noted for it's natural beauty, culture, and hospitality of the people. Bali island consists of eight Regencies, one of the most extensive region is Buleleng Regency in North Bali which has the most native Bali. the native Balinese people are located in the mountains about 25 minutes away from the urban area of Lovina, such as the five villages in the Banjar Sub-district namely Sidetapa, Cempaga, Tigawasa, Pedawa, and Banyusri. These Villages are denoting as an original residence in bali or it called Baliaga Village. all these Villages are far away from modernization and they are still in the old style and the daily activities of the people mostly as farmer's working and making basket handicraft from bamboo and they only make little money by selling the bamboo articles.
          These ancient Villages are very accessible either from Singaraja city it takes about 35 minutes, from Lovina is about 20 minutes and from Denpasar as the Capital of Bali Province it takes about 2 hours 30 minutes trip by transportation. along the way to reach these sites you will enjoy the beautiful view of the lower part of the hills and the view from the top to the ocean sea. the history of the ancient village in Sidatapa it has traditional houses which was built hundred years ago and still standing up until now. the name of the house is Bale Gajah Tumpang Salu. Bale means big, Gajah means knowledge, and Tumpang Salu means there are three parts which are Nista Mandala is the place for welcoming and receiving the guests  then, Madya Mandala is the place where the people are doing all activities in the room such as : cooking, eating, and ritual. beside that the Utama Mandala is the most sacred place by the people for praying and placing the relic. there are two beds in Utama Mandala for sleeping and the uniqueness of this house although the wall of the house is made from clay and covered by twelve wooden poles but this house is safe from the hazard on earthquake.


           Here you will find normal life of the people here, the Village is located in a region where a lot of bamboo grows and that is reflected in the activities of the people who are busy with their old craft which in many cases changes from mother to daughter. the inhabitants of the village are very friendly and the atmosphere is so fresh. your journey to visit this place is truly different than you stay in city where the activity is crowded. but, to take your journey to the village you will see something different. many things can be seen here such as : fascinating waterfall, palm sugar production, and wickerwork. let's explore the real Bali and get your new experiences to visit ancient villages.
