     Sangeh is known as a forest of sacred monkeys, It is situated about 21 kilometers North Denpasar. Sangeh is a monkey forest with only kind of trees, nutmeg trees, found nowhere else in Bali. Because of its mysteriousness, Balinese regard it as a sacred. They live a carefree life in about 10 hectares self land and are not afraid of men. there are four temples in the forest. the biggest of which is called Bukit sari. It was built in the 17th century. the forest of nutmeg has big and straight trees, some reaching the height of 50 to 60 meters. and the great number of monkeys living on the trees, make an interesting sight. Monkey forest ubud is one of the forests inhabited by hundreds of monkeys or monkeys and used as a tourist destination other than the beach on the island of Bali.
