     Pura Luhur Uluwatu or Uluwatu Temple is a temple located in the village of Pecatu, Kuta District, Badung. The temple, which is located on the southwestern tip of the island of Bali on a steep, high rock platform and protrudes into the sea, is the Sad Kayangan Temple which is believed by Hindus to be a buffer of nine winds. This temple was originally used as a place to worship a holy priest from the 11th century named Empu Kuturan. He lowered the teachings of the Customary Village with all the rules. Each of these temples has close links with Uluwatu Temple, especially on its Piodalan days. Piodalan in Pura Uluwatu, Pura Bajurit, Pura Pererepan and Pura Kulat fall on Tuesday Kliwon Wuku Medangsia every 210 days. The manifestation of God worshipped at Uluwatu Temple is Dewa Rudra.
