     Lovina beach is situated approximately 10 kilometers west of Singaraja. its sandy beaches and calm sea attract the travelers and tourists a like. for travelers it is a relaxing place to take a break before embarking on the next leg of their travels. for tourist Lovina is complete contrast to the major resorts of south Bali. whether you are travelling on a shoestring or in luxury you find Lovina has accommodations and restaurants to suit every budget. during the day you can see the fantastic coral reefs which are superb for snorkeling or diving. an early morning boat ride to sail among dolphins is an experience not to be missed. the sunsets in Lovina are breathtaking. there can be few more enjoyable pleasures than sitting by the beach with a cool drink watching the sun go down.
     It is not exactly known how Lovina got its name. it is widely believed that the name of Lovina was introduced by the late Anak Agung Panji Tisna as the last king of Buleleng kingdom who built the first tourist accommodation in the village of Kaliasem later more widely known as Lovina. Nowadays Lovina is also interpreted as Love Ina or " Love Indonesia, Love our mother land". the unofficial nature of the name. given to this area accounts for the Impress borders. beside Menjangan Island of the northwest of Bali, a "mecca" for divers, the reefs of Lovina is also an ideal place for qualified divers.


     Lovina beach is popular for its dolphin spotting and black sandy beach. many things can be done here such as : seeing the dolphin in the morning at 06.00am, snorkeling, diving, walking around the black sandy beach, sun bathing, relaxing, etc. 3-4 stars hotel and bungalow you can find here. beside that, a complete Bar, restaurant, art shop, coffee shop, money changer, rent bike and others things are available here. to get the most these trips you can got to an established dive shop namely "The Spice Dive", the very first dive shop in Lovina where you will find experienced dive guides. or you can to go "Lovina Marine Sport" with its shop located at Bali Lovina Cottages.
